James Ronckovitz is a veteran film and television editor with 25 years of professional experience crafting high-impact, story-driven content across scripted, unscripted, extreme sports, and branded content. His career began in early independent video production and evolved into a lifelong pursuit of visual storytelling.

He earned a B.A. in Communication from the University of Tampa, where he was awarded the Protivin Film Prize, the department’s highest honor, and later refined his post-production skills at Full Sail University. Upon graduation, James relocated to New York City, where he spent two decades as Senior Editor at Transition Productions, one of the nation’s premier extreme sports and entertainment companies.

During his tenure, he edited flagship series and specials including Moonshiners, Summer and Winter X Games, American Daredevils, MTV’s Ultimate Parkour Challenge, Paranormal Challenge, Ford’s Octane Academy, and NBC’s Spartan Race, gathering a total of three Emmy nominations.

In 2018, James relocated to Los Angeles, where he continues to edit across broadcast, streaming, commercial, and digital platforms. His recent credits include Hip Hop Was Born Here, Jackass Shark Week 2.0, Bail Jumpers, Discovering David Dobrik, Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge, Summer and Winter Dew Tour, XBOX Games Showcase, along with various commercial and documentary projects.

His work consistently elevates content through dynamic pacing, strong visual construction, and an instinctive understanding of story—delivering results that meet and often exceed creative and client expectations.
